About this activity pack

Build a timed team challenge that reviews any training topic: teams complete stations, earn clues and open a final lock, with ten station types, two finished challenges and editable game boards.

Who it is for

  • Trainers and instructional designers who want an active review that people remember

  • Managers and shift leads closing out onboarding or refresher training

  • Small-business owners who train their own staff and want practice, not lectures

  • HR and safety leads running annual refreshers on procedures, privacy or service standards

The problem it solves

After training, most reviews are a quiz or a slide of key points. People forget the content because they never used it. A challenge turns review into practice: every station is a task from the training, and teams only earn the clue when they get it right, so they check their own work and explain answers to each other. Building one from scratch takes time and some know-how about clues, codes and timing. This kit gives you the format, ten station types you can fill with any content, planning templates, printable materials, PowerPoint game boards and two complete challenges you can run as written.

What is inside

  • Copyright, how to use the kit and terms explained (3 pages)

  • Guide (6 pages): what a challenge is and when to use one, building one in seven steps, clues, codes and the final lock, running it, debriefing and common mistakes, adjusting for your setting and running it online

  • Station chooser (1 page)

  • Ten station types (10 pages): each with purpose, timing, group size, materials, check method, setup, steps, the words to say, debrief questions, three topic examples and a virtual version

  • Challenge planner and station card (4 pages): blank and filled in

  • Finished example 1: Ready by Eleven (3 pages): a restaurant opening and food safety review, with briefing, materials, answer key and debrief

  • Finished example 2: The Monday Check-In (3 pages): a clinic front desk privacy review

  • Printables (2 pages): team code sheet, hint cards, station signs and clue cards

  • Editable PowerPoint game boards (21 slides): briefing, rules, countdown, station map, team progress, hints, final lock, final challenge and debrief, blank and filled in for both examples, with instructions in the speaker notes

  • Editable Word file (13 pages): templates, both examples and printables

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a lock box?

No. A sealed envelope, a spoken code or an online form works just as well. The guide explains each option.

Can I run it online?

Yes. Every station type has a virtual version, and the guide explains breakout rooms, private chat checks and online final locks.

How long does it take to build my own?

Plan a few hours for the first one. The planner and station cards keep it organized, and the station types can be reused with new content.

One price, yours to keep. Licensed for use within your organization.
