About this kit
A complete 90-minute session that turns vague priorities into a few clear team goals: written plainly, counted every week, linked to each person's work and said back by the team.
Who it is for
Managers and supervisors who are handed broad priorities and need to turn them into goals their team will act on.
Team leads and shift leads who pass goals on to others and want everyone to understand them the same way.
Small-business owners who set the goals themselves and want the whole team working toward the same results.
Trainers, HR and L&D professionals who need a ready-to-run goal-setting session they can deliver this month.
The problem it solves
Most teams are given goals, and many of those goals change nothing. They arrive as a list of six priorities or as a phrase such as "better customer experience," nobody can count them, and they are never connected to what anyone does in a normal week. People agree, carry on as before, and the goal is forgotten within a few weeks. This kit teaches leads five plain steps (choose a few, write it plainly, make it countable, link each person's work, check it is understood) and lets them practice twice: once turning a business owner's vague request into a complete goal plan, and once briefing a team on that goal in five minutes with a hard moment to handle.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to be a trained facilitator?
No. The guide gives you timed steps with suggested words, questions and what to listen for. A manager or business owner can run it.
Our goals are set by head office. Is this still useful?
Yes. Even when the goal is given, the lead still has to write it in the team's words, find a number the team can count every week, link each role and check that people understand it. Four of the five steps are about exactly that.
What comes after this session?
Level 2, D09 Weekly Tracking and Team Check-ins, shows how to keep goals moving with a simple scoreboard, a fifteen-minute weekly check-in and a plan for when a goal slips. Both kits use the same measure rules as the R65 Team Goal Tracker.
