About this tool
Plan any presentation in six parts, from a two-minute staff huddle to a client pitch, with a guide that explains each part and a filled-in example to copy.
Who it is for
Small-business owners pitching to clients or presenting to a board
Managers and shift leads running staff meetings and huddles
Trainers and coordinators presenting updates
Sales staff presenting proposals in person or on video calls
Anyone who has a presentation coming up and does not know where to start
The problem it solves
Most presentations go wrong before they start: there is no clear message, the slides become the script, and the first rehearsal happens the night before. This worksheet walks you through planning in the right order: the one message you want people to remember and the action you want them to take, then your audience, your key points, the flow, the slides you actually need, and a practice plan.
What is inside
Guide (6 pages): one page for each part of the plan: message, audience, key points, flow, slides list and practice plan. Each page explains what the part is, why it matters, how to do it step by step, an example, common mistakes, and how it changes for a staff huddle, a client pitch and a video call
The planner (2 pages): prompts for every part, including your first and last lines, three likely questions with short answers, a slides list and two rehearsal dates
Filled-in example (2 pages): a cleaning company owner's pitch to the board of an apartment building
Editable Word planner: blank and filled in
How to use it
1. The first time, read each guide page as you fill in that part of the planner, and look at the example.
2. After that, go straight to the planner. Start with the message, because every other part depends on it.
3. Finish the planner at least two days before you present, so there is time to rehearse out loud twice.

Frequently asked questions
Does it work for short talks?
Yes. The guide shows how each part changes for a two-minute staff huddle, where you may need no slides at all.
Do I need slides to use it?
No. The slides list helps you decide which points need a slide. Many short talks need none.
Does it teach slide design or delivery?
It covers planning. For building slides, see Slides That Support You and the Slide Design Rules Card; for delivery, see Presenting with Confidence.
