About this tool
Bring a new salon or spa front desk employee from their first day to running the desk alone in 30 days, with plans, role checklists, booking and consultation guidance and a cheat sheet.
Who it is for
Salon and spa managers who hire front desk staff.
Business owners who run their own salon, spa, barbershop or nail studio and train the desk themselves.
Front desk leads and senior receptionists who now train new hires.
HR and training staff in multi-location salon or spa businesses who want a ready-made, editable front desk program.
The problem it solves
A new front desk employee has to learn the service menu, how long each service takes with each provider, which services need a consultation first, and your policies on deposits, cancellations and late arrivals. When this is learned on the job without a plan, booking mistakes reach clients and providers run late. This kit gives you a planned first day, first week and first 30 days, a checklist for each front desk role, one consistent way to teach every task, and the customer service basics for arrivals, bookings, consultations and checkout. Every task is taught with Teach a Task™, a proprietary method of KA Company, and customer service follows READ™, a proprietary method of KA Company.
Rules on hiring paperwork, breaks and payment handling depend on your location. The kit reminds you to check them; it is not legal advice.

Frequently asked questions
Does it cover client consultations?
Yes, from the front desk side: booking consultations, explaining them to clients, completing the consultation card and passing information to the provider. The technical consultation is the provider's role.
Can I edit the checklists?
Yes. Every page, including all three role checklists, the policy wording and the cheat sheet, is in the editable Word file.
Does it cover product or treatment safety?
No. Product and treatment questions go to the provider, and the kit reminds you to follow manufacturer and local rules.
