About this tool

Every check you need to run a training session well, from a week before to the day after, for sessions in a room and online, with the reason each check matters.

Who it is for

  • Trainers who run sessions every week and want a reliable routine.

  • Managers and shift leads who train their own staff a few times a year.

  • Subject experts asked to lead a session for the first time.

  • People who run small businesses and train their teams themselves.

  • Producers and co-facilitators who support online sessions.

The problem it solves

Most problems in a training session start days earlier: an unclear invitation, a room set up in rows, an adapter that does not fit, an activity with missing cards, no follow-up afterward. This checklist puts every preparation step in order across six stages, marks each one In person, Online or Both, and explains why it matters, so you know what you can skip when time is short and what you cannot.

What is inside

  • How to use it and the six stages (page 1; 1 page)

  • Copyright and License (page 2; 1 page)

  • Guide: every check, with why it matters (pages 3 to 5; 3 pages)

  • Common mistakes and variations (page 6; 1 page)

  • Checklist: in person (pages 7 to 8; 2 pages)

  • Checklist: online (pages 9 to 10; 2 pages)

  • Session details sheet and day-after notes (page 11; 1 page)

  • Filled-in example (page 12; 1 page)

  • Editable Word version of everything above (13 pages)

Frequently asked questions

Does it work for online sessions?

Yes. There is a separate printable checklist for online sessions, including platform tests, breakout rooms, polls and working with a producer. It does not depend on any one meeting platform.

I only run short huddles. Is it too much?

The variations page shows which checks to keep for huddles, training on the job, hybrid sessions and large groups.

Do I need training experience?

No. Every check is written in plain words, and the filled-in example shows a front desk lead using it for the first time.

One price, yours to keep. Licensed for use within your organization.
