About this course

A practical feedback course for anyone who leads people. Learners practice a four-checkpoint method that keeps any feedback conversation specific, fair and two-way, whether it lasts thirty seconds or thirty minutes.

Who it is for

  • Supervisors and managers, new or experienced, who need to raise a concern or recognize good work

  • Small business owners who give feedback without an HR department behind them

  • Trainers and HR professionals who want a ready leadership session they can run this month

  • Team leads and senior staff who give feedback to peers, or upward to their own manager

The problem it solves

Most leaders notice something that needs to be said and then wait. A conversation that would have taken five minutes becomes a heavy one months later, and it often lands as personal criticism instead of useful information. This course gives leaders a short structure they can use in the moment, so feedback is timely, based on what actually happened, and ends with a clear next step.

What learners will be able to do

  • Raise feedback while it is still useful, instead of saving it for a review

  • Describe what they saw and what it caused, using the Replay Test to keep it to behavior, not opinion

  • Ask for the other person's side and listen before deciding what comes next

  • Agree on one next step and a set time to check in, then follow through

  • Use the same checkpoints for recognition, so good work is named as clearly as problems

The KA method

LOOP, an original KA Company method: Lead with why, Observe out loud, Open it up, and Plan and come back. The Replay Test supports the Observe step: if you could replay exactly what someone did, said or wrote, it is a behavior you can describe fairly.

Frequently asked questions

Is LOOP based on a well-known feedback model?

No. LOOP is an original KA Company method. It does not repackage someone else's acronym, so you can teach it freely inside your organization.

Does it cover written feedback and remote staff?

Yes. The Replay Test and the scenarios include email, chat and video situations as well as face-to-face conversations.

Will the e-learning work in our LMS?

Yes. It is a SCORM 1.2 package, the most widely supported format. It reports completion and the knowledge check score, and it runs offline because the fonts and media are packaged inside.

Do I need training experience to run the in-person or virtual kit?

No. The facilitator guide gives a timed agenda, what to say, what to ask and what to listen for at every step. A manager or business owner can run it.

Can we add our logo and our own terms?

Yes. The kits are editable Word and PowerPoint files. If you would like us to brand the e-learning for you, request a customization quote.
