About this kit
A complete two-hour, hands-on workshop where a team lists its own tasks, finds the safe and useful places for AI, practices clear requests and careful checks, and leaves with its own AI rules and a small trial.
Who it is for
Small-business owners whose staff already use AI tools, unevenly, and who want one shared, safe way of working.
Managers and team leads asked "How should our team use AI?" who want an answer built on the team's own work.
Trainers, HR and L&D professionals who need a ready-to-run AI workshop that stays accurate when tools change.
Teams that have taken the AI at Work course and now need to agree, together, what they will and will not use AI for.
The problem it solves
Many teams use AI tools without shared rules. One person pastes whole customer records into a tool, another asks it a safety question it cannot answer, a third refuses to try it, and the only rule is "use it sensibly." This workshop replaces guesswork with a structured, hands-on session built on SPEC, the four KA habits (spot a good task, protect private details, explain what you need, check before you use it). The team sorts its own tasks for fit and risk, practices removing private details and writing clear requests, finds the problems in real AI drafts, and drafts its own team rules with a trial and a review date. Decisions about people, and legal, medical, financial or safety advice, stay off-limits throughout.

Frequently asked questions
Do we need AI tools to run the workshop?
No. Every activity works with or without AI access. Handout 5 gives practice content that is safe to paste and printed sample outputs with realistic errors to check.
Which AI tool does it cover?
Any tool your workplace approves. The kit names no products and teaches habits and team rules that apply to all of them. Participants never paste real customer, employee or business information during the workshop.
Is this an AI policy?
No. The team drafts practical team rules, approved by the business owner or manager, that sit inside any company policy. Rules about privacy, employment and AI differ by location, so review any policy with your leadership and legal advisor; the kit is not legal advice.
